Heather specializes in working with children, adolescents, and young adults using a client-centered approach that emphasizes empathy, collaboration, and appreciation for everyone’s unique experiences. She aims to create a safe, supportive space where clients can explore their feelings, and build upon their strengths, and develop healthier ways of coping. Using a blend of CBT and ACT approaches, she integrates creative- and play-based methods into her practice, to encourage individuals to express themselves more naturally through play, games, and art. As a gamer herself, one of the unique tools she offers is the use of Dungeons & Dragons and other tabletop role-playing games (TTRPGs) in her therapeutic work. This approach can be a powerful way to support social-emotional development, strengthen problem-solving skills, and foster confidence in a supportive environment – and it is just plain fun. Heather addresses anxiety, behavioral concerns, stress management, communication and social skills, depression, and self-esteem.

In addition to providing therapy services, Heather also provides ADHD assessment services.

Outside of work, Heather enjoys spending time with family, playing board games and TTRPGs, playing video games, and being outdoors when the weather allows to go hiking, running, or birding.
